Michael Travis Jaikaran

Biography

My name is Michael Jaikaran. I am a lower senior in the Computer Science and Information Security undergraduate degree program, with a minor in psychology (which is why I am taking this class.) Previously, I was a dual-enrolled student at BTECH Highschool and Queensborough Community College, where I obtained an Associates of Applied Science for Internet and Information Technology. I have numerous certifications from Google, Amazon, and COMPTIA+. In the past, I have done internships with the FBI (for human, drug and sex trafficking), Google, Amazon, Microsoft, and NYC DOE.

As of right now, I work as a STEM/STEAM Instructor, where I teach all sciences, and mathematics (robotics, engineering, linear algebra, architecture, anatomy, etc.) My ethnicity is Trinidadian (from Trinidad and Tobago), so I am West Indian. My religion is Madrasi Hinduism (a form of hinduism.) I was born in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, New York, on January 3rd 2003. I lived in Sunset Park along with it's strong latino culture for 8 years until I moved to South Ozone Park Queens, with my parents.

I play guitar (predominantly Electric Guitar), I am a wrestling fan (yes I know its fake, but its my escape from reality), and I am followed by John Cena on Twitter (or X as it's called now.) Some external information/clarification is that I come across as a bit of an aloof person, but I am caring person, and I do my best to help people. I rescue stray cats/dogs and rehabilitate them, and rehome them. I do have a Trinidadian accent (both the proper english one, and broken one), but I do my best to stifle them down. I also specialize in doing art (digital and black and white), I can hack literally anything, I have NYC DOE Security Clearance, I also play video games as a side-hobby.

I try to put as much of myself into this biography, and anything I do, but if you are confused about anything, or simply want to know more about specific things, or if there is anything I did not mention that you want to know, you can always ask me. You all can also refer to me as Mike, or Mikey (I don't have a preference.) Also, never hesitate to reach out to me, whether its for class, events in JJAY, just to say "hey," or whatever else it may be. I am your president, and will do whatever it takes to make sure everyone has a good time, and is in a safe and healthy environment. I will never hesistate to help you, etc. My hours are between 10AM and 8PM.
